Detoxification support program

In our modern lives the majority of the population have measurable amounts of environmental toxins within their body, most of which are found in our everyday use products we use or consume. Many of these chemicals are endocrine disrupting chemicals and contribute to diabetes, obesity, reproductive issues, hormone sensitive cancers, thyroid imbalances, prostate cancer and  developmental disorders.

As well as environmental toxins we are also exposed to toxins produced within us by microorganisms within your gastrointestinal tract. When our gut microbiome is in a healthy balance it provides us with anti-inflammatory, immune boosting beneficial bacteria. However when the gut microbiome is imbalanced it is linked to irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, depression, autoimmune conditions, autism, Alzheimer's disease, diabetes and obesity. Within the gut environmental toxins can cause imbalanced gut bacteria which in turn produce their own harmful toxins.

Supporting elimination of toxins

Even though we are exposed to a vast number of toxins daily, there is a lot we can do to support the elimination of toxins from our body as well as offset their impacts. Our bodies naturally detox all the time by processing environmental and dietary toxins into less harmful forms which are then passed out of the body. However sometimes our systems need a bit of support to function their best.

The detoxification programs focus on four key components:

  1. Reducing the overall toxin load placed on your body by following a low toxin diet and reducing toxins within your environment
  2. Providing support to your body’s detoxification pathways. The liver, gut and kidneys are all involved in daily detoxification and need to be functioning the best they can to allow your body to detox
  3. Protecting your cells against the harmful effects of toxins by protecting against free radical damage using antioxidants
  4. Supporting the body’s ability to remove toxins from the body

What does the detox support program involve?

  • An individually tailored program suitable to your needs
  • Gastrointestinal microbiome support to reduce internal toxins being produced
  • Herbal and nutritional supplementation to support detoxification pathways to enhance elimination function
  • A low toxin diet with a selection of recipes to help you reduce dietary toxin loss
  • On going guided help to assist you and your body during the detox program

Who can benefit from detox support:

  • Some cases which can indicate the need for detox support include feeling tired, having allergies, hormonal imbalances, difficulty losing weight, skin issues like adult acne and high environmental or dietary toxin exposure
  • Gut symptoms often linked to an imbalanced gut microbiome; bloating, reflux, diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain.
  • Professions like hair dressers, mechanics, working in nail salons, plastic or rubber manufacturers, mining, metal workers, construction workers, and working within the agricultural industry. These all have high daily chemical exposure leading to extra pressure on the body to try to eliminate toxins from the body, often causing a build up of  toxins.
  • If you are thinking about getting pregnant, a detox during the preconception stage can be a great way to reduce toxins within your body before conceiving. Toxins can impact sperm and egg quality and development and affect your reproductive hormones.

**detox programs are not suitable for those currently trying to conceive or are pregnant already
